The Holiday Shopping Card in Houston

How Jay Is Using The Holiday Shopping Card This Year

It's that time of the year again! The Holiday Shopping Card, which kicked off Thursday, October 18, is the biggest (and most anticipated) Fall fundraiser in Houston. For a $75 donation to the American Cancer Society, Houstonians get 10 days (October 18-28) to shop countless retailers and dine at a number of noteworthy restaurants.

We sell the card here at the store, and it's the perfect time to stock up on your holiday gifts. Gift for your bestie? Check. Affordable teachers gifts? Check. A gift for the chic holiday hostess? Check. And a little something for yourself? Of course we have that, too.

We know the shopping options are endless, so to give you a head start on your shopping stops, here's where Jay plans to use his card this year.

Three Dog Bakery - Moe comes first, so the newly opened dog bakery just down the street from the shop will be Jay's first stop. Happy dog, happy dad.

Fleet Feet Houston - Jay's morning workouts are what keep him sane (shout out to you, Shredded by Shelley), and a well-made tennis shoe is so necessary. All of Fleet Feet's shoes are good looking, too, and, well, that matters! The staff is friendly and knowledgable, and with the Happy Fit Guarantee you have 60 days to return or exchange the shoes if the fit isn't perfect.

Bering's Hardware - There's so much to stock up on at Bering's. If you've had your eye on a new Le Creuset dutch oven or the backyard needs a new grill, this is the time to buy it.

Kuhl-Linscomb - Everyone has their thing that they get at Kuhl-Linscomb. Jay's is cologne and candles. Stock up on your favorite go-to and seasonal scents.

Houston Wine Merchant - During the holidays, your wine fridge needs to be stocked. This boutique wine shop carries the best wines, and their staff will guide you in the right direction.

Where Jay's eating with his card after shopping:

Le Colonial - Jay's crazy for these dumplings! This Vietnamese restaurant in the River Oaks District has sophisticated, opulent vibes with food to match. Time to try it out if you've never been!

Emmaline - Take advantage of our recent patio weather and dine al fresco at Emmaline. The patios are intimate and truly make you feel like you're not in Houston anymore.
